Dear HCCUA Members:
What does Coronavirus mean to you? How has it affected your life? Everyone has been effected by this pandemic in one way or another. Some have adapted better than others and some are ready for normalcy. As states begin their phases of reopening, the fear of COVID-19 will either encourage people to continue to hunker down, or it will drive others to conquer daily activities during the new normal. As citizens, we have a social duty to our community to continue following appropriate guidelines. As bothersome as it may seem at times, we need to consider the health and wellness of the greater good.
Practice patience, it will take time to readjust to new precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of others. Find compassion in not knowing the battles one can be facing. Many people are coping with the idea of being out in public, wearing masks, washing our hands, wiping down counters frequently, refraining from touching our faces, working all while practicing social distancing.
Take note that numerous companies are also taking extra precautions for their employees and guests to meet guidelines to reopen such as taking temperatures, asking people to waiting their cars until their appointment or reservation time, and require protective gear to enter.
The uncertainty we face it is nothing but expected to express feelings of anxiety and stress. It is a time to know your boundaries and what you are comfortable with. If you are unwilling for follow the guidelines in place, it is okay to stay home. Most importantly you must take into consideration your physically and mental health. Continue doing what works best for you and your family. Go outside and get fresh air while maintaining good self-care habits you picked up during quarantine.
